What is a Space?

A space in Archbee is the way you group documents under a single scope: a team, a project, or a topic. Spaces can be private to your team or published externally to a custom domain. Spaces are a foundational element of your product knowledge management. They act as a top-level container for documents you create in Archbee. Each space has a document tree, and each document can have 0-n children documents.

What use cases do you support?

We currently support a variety of use cases, to cover all your external and internal documentation needs. Product documentation, developer documentation, user guides, onboarding & training, process documentation, design documentation, automated customer support.

What is the quota for Generative AI?

While in beta, Generative AI powered features don't have a cap. In full release mode, we will have a generous included token limit and usage-based pricing applies monthly on top when exceeding it.

What LLM are you using for Generative AI?

For paid accounts we use Microsoft Azure OpenAI API with GPT 3.5 turbo for data governance purposes. We are currently testing other solutions like self-hosting LLaMa 2 or MPT-30 with additional fine-tuning.

Free accounts do not have an included LLM usage, but they can add their own OpenAI key.

Can I export my data?

Absolutely — your data and your docs are yours. Easily export your docs individually or export your whole organization’s content. Documents are exported in Markdown format, or rendered PDF files.

What security practices does Archbee follow?

Archbee is SOC 2 Type 2 certified. Check out our online security portal https://security.archbee.com

To receive the report, we'll need to you sign an NDA.

How secure is Archbee?

We regularly test our security with outside firms and security freelancers.

We also use daily backups, encryption at rest and in transit, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 payment processor (Stripe), and secure AWS services to keep your data safe.

What type of support is offered?

We offer support to customers through our live chat, or at support@archbee.io. We try to answer any question in less than 30 minutes, but sometimes it takes up to one business day.

Where's my data located?

Your data lives in AWS US east datacenters. We use CDNs and caches so that you & your users get a fast user experience no matter where you are in the world.

How are you using my data?

We collect usage events that help us improve our product over time. We will never share any data of yours with third party companies or governments.

Who owns the documents my team/company creates?

Your company does. At any point in time, at your request, we will provide you an exported file with any kind of data we hold and/or destroy it and all of its backups.

What happens when the free trial ends?

When the 21-day free trial ends, you can either upgrade to a paid plan or convert the account into a free one. No worries, your content will be saved.

Can I add or remove team members?

You can add or remove team members at any time from your account settings, team management section. If you add members, you will be billed the prorated amount on the next invoice.

Can I change plans after I sign up?

Yes, you can switch from monthly to annual payments or the other way around.

And you can also upgrade from one plan to another, or downgrade to a lower plan, should your needs change.

What happens if I am not satisfied with my Archbee purchase?

If you're not satisfied with Archbee - product or service, we offer a refund within your first paid month. No questions asked.

What do I need in order to use it?

Archbee works in any recent browser. An account is required. You can create one (for free) here:

What are the requirements for the Startup Program?

Your startup has been founded less than 3 years ago, your team size is less than 20 people, you haven't raised more than 2M USD, and you're not an existing customer.

On the Startup Program the price is fixed at $49/m regardless of number of users added, and you can't remove our branding from the documentation you create.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for several organizations:
- Free Growing plan for open source software;
- 50% discount for non-profit organisations  and for educational purposes;
- Special Startup Program - see the dedicated FAQ on this.
